We are so excited to share the new school year with you and your kiddos. Some things you may want to know about us before beginning care:
We are a service of the Grand Rapids Early Discovery Center providing quality, Reggio-inspired childcare to the students who attend the Grand Rapids Child Discovery Center elementary school. We operate on the lower level of the elementary school. OUR HOURS:

day through Friday from 7-8am, 2:30-6 pm on Tuesdays, and 3:30-6 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. OUR CALENDAR:
We follow the GRCDC school calendar and provide care on the days that school is closed for planning, pd, and most holidays. We do close with the school for snow days and power outages. Communication will be sent via email, family page, and will be listed on local news channels for inclement weather closures. For full days of care, we are open 7am-6pm and require registration requests for those days. Families whose children already regularly attend the days of the closure during the school week get first rights to registration. Off schedule families will be added to a wait list until a slot becomes available. The Discovery team will pick your children up directly from their classroom after school and bring them down to their Discovery groups which are separated by grade. For the 2023/2024 school year:
Miss Becca leads the preschool and kindergarten group located in the preschool classroom. Miss Annika leads the first-grade group, located in the cafeteria. Jake leads 2nd grade, located in the art studio. Aaron and Miss Ingrid lead 3rd through 5th grade, located in the gym. Please refer to the family handbook for more information about billing, attendance, illness, and other policies. We look forward to a school year full of growth and adventure!
