🇺🇸🏍What an outstanding day for the 4th Annual Meatloaf Run Motorcycle Ride! Temperatures were a little cool, but the roads stayed dry as 72 bikes and about 100 riders joined us for the day.

Thank you to everyone who rode with us, volunteered, supported the run, and helped make the day possible, including law enforcement, Keewatin Legion Riders road guards, area fire departments, the Swampsiders, VFW 1720, the GRHS football team, and the many others who contributed along the way. We appreciate every one of you!

🇺🇸 On 11 September 2001, US Navy Veteran and NYC firefighter Tim Duffy rode his Harley-Davidson through the rubble to Ground Zero, where he helped with rescue, recovery and cleanup efforts. Twenty-five years later, Tim and his restored motorcycle remain powerful symbols of service, resilience and answering the call when our country needed it most.

🇺🇸 Come out and show your support for Veterans this Saturday, 12 September!

🏍️🇺🇸 We’re inviting community members throughout Itasca County to line the route and wave US Flags as approximately 70 motorcycles rumble through the area during the 4th Annual CVMA® Meatloaf Run.

Please help us spread the word, check the schedule below to find out when the ride will be passing through your neighborhood!

Honor Veterans as Motorcycles Rumble Through Itasca County
On Saturday, 12 September 2026, the public is encouraged to come out and show their support for Veterans during the 4th Annual CVMA® Meatloaf Run Motorcycle Ride. The group will roll through Itasca County in the annual ride hosted by the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® MN Chapter 48-8, based out of VFW 1720 in Grand Rapids. All motorcyclists are welcome to participate in the ride in support of Veterans.

You’ll hear the rumble as the group makes its way through Wabana, Lawrence Lake, Balsam, Marcell, Talmoon, Inger, Winnie Dam, Ball Club, Deer River, Cohasset and Grand Rapids. Gather along the roads in your neighborhood and wave your US Flag to show your appreciation and support for those who have served in the US Armed Forces.

So that you can get in on the action, here is an approximate schedule of the ride route (times may vary by about ten minutes). For everyone’s safety, please remain a safe distance from the roadway as the group rumbles by.

11:00: Itasca County Fairgrounds
11:01: Yanmar Arena
11:15: Wabana Town Hall
11:30: Balsam Township
11:50: Lunch break at Swampsiders Clubhouse
12:50: Leave Swampsiders Clubhouse
1:20: Marcell
1:30: Break in Talmoon
2:10: Leave Talmoon
2:20: Bowstring
2:35: Inger
2:40: Cut Foot Sioux
2:45: Break at Gosh Dam Place
3:25: Leave Gosh Dam Place
3:30: Winnie Dam
3:40: Highway 2 near Bena
3:50: Ball Club
4:00: Deer River
4:10: Cohasset
4:15: Arrive at VFW Post 1720 in Grand Rapids
