Policy Recommendation #4 from the Reconnect Applicant Survey: Expand Holistic Student Supports

The SOS Office at Henry Ford College provides emergency aid, personal counseling, and coordinated support services to help students facing food insecurity, housing instability, or financial crises. Eliminating barriers means students can focus on their studies and ultimately complete their degree or certificate.

The Momentum Adult Learning Program at Monroe County Community College recently celebrated their first cohort of graduates! We are so excited about this work and proud to have been a partner in getting the program off the ground.

We have a Road Map to lead our work in supporting the state of Michigan in reaching their Sixty by 30 goal. Step one is clearly identifying our state’s adult learner population and the specific barriers they face.
