Some experiences are hard to put into words. This week at Cloverhill Church in VA was one of them. 💕

From the Leadership Lean In LIVE to the podcast conversations to worshipping with 600 women at Her Night, I am still overwhelmed by the goodness of God.

Huge shout-out to Angie Grant, the incredible event coordinator and my new treasured club friend. 😉 Shea, our hostess extraordinaire. Terrie Tollerson, my sweet Virginia friend who served as prayer partner, Uber driver, and so much more. And the MANY women who shared their stories, their hearts, and their love for Jesus.

I didn’t take nearly enough pictures. But I came home with something even better: a prayer book filled with the names of women who touched my heart. Women I will continue to carry in prayer long after this week.

What a gift to do what I love, share the hope of Jesus, and meet so many beautiful women along the way. ❤️

Thank you, Cloverhill sisters, for a week I won’t soon forget. My heart is overflowing. 💗

What a WEEKEND at Camp Michawana! 🔥🍂

What a joy to teach 4 sessions of Rekindled from Revelation 2, opening God’s Word together and reflecting on His invitation to return to our first love. ❤️ Time in the Word, worship with Emily & her team, and being together made this weekend such a gift! 🙌🏻🎉

Rochelle, Lora, Treasure, & the whole Camp Michawana, Where Christ is First team, thank you for all the love and work you poured into this weekend! And thank You, God, for the beautiful fall weather surrounding it all!

And a special shout-out to Addie Ott, who came all the way from Indiana to help me. I’m so grateful for you!

To every woman who joined us, I’m cheering you on as you head home. May the fire keep burning brightly! 🔥

This little girl grew up as a big sister with her mom, dad, & two brothers in central Indiana.

She was sensitive, self-conscious, shy and kind. A book lover and a dreamer.

But at school, she was bullied.

She had the wrong hair, the wrong body, the wrong personality. She was terrified of drawing attention to herself. She was scared of getting into trouble (Mr. Sheets had a paddle!) or being wrong, and of using her voice.

She was placed in a gifted program, but she stayed small and quiet as to not draw any extra attention to herself.

She loved people. Her mom taught her the joy of celebrating others. When her family moved away from her BFF and beloved cousins to Michigan in the 7th grade, she pretended to be happy.

But on the inside, she was unhappy, lonely, and empty. She felt worthless and unwanted. And at the new MI school, the bullying continued.

She studied at Michigan State University and dreamed of traveling and changing the world.

That was until she got mixed up with the wrong crowd, and started using drugs and alcohol daily to numb her pain and purposelessness.

Her world came crashing down when she accidentally overdosed on co***ne and nearly lost her life to her addiction.

God met her in her mess, and what nearly took her life was the catalyst to introduce her to Jesus, Who is the Way, Truth, & Life (John 14:6).

For the past 30 years, she has lived her life drug-free. 🎉

God has turned her mess into His message of hope and healing.

She is married with 4 beautiful kids and two adorable dogs.

These days she gets to speak and write and travel telling others about Jesus. Plus, she invests in the next generation of leaders teaching at Cornerstone University, while also leading Bultema Impact Group (BIG) .

This little girl found her God-given voice, and she’s using her words, and most importantly, God’s Word, for Kingdom good.

Why am I telling you all this?

Because today is . 70% of women feel more confident about their futures after hearing the stories of other women.

Let’s celebrate by telling our God stories and reminding our sisters that they too can change the world. 🌎💗🙏🏻🎉

Happy Sunday, friend! 💗 Can I share a little encouragement for your heart today?

Don’t miss the little things. 🎉

I’ve been thinking about that this weekend.

Between visiting puppies with Sarah (love having her home for the weekend!), making chili for our neighborhood cook-off, and enjoying the beautiful fall sunshine, I’ve been reminded how much joy can be found in ordinary moments.

And I wonder if sometimes we’re so focused on what’s next that we miss what’s right in front of us.

• A conversation that makes us smile.
• A coffee date with a beloved friend.
• An unexpected kindness.
• A moment of peace in the middle of a hard season.

Not every day is easy. (Trust me, I get it.) And maybe this weekend has been especially difficult for you. If so, I’m so sorry, friend.

But even on the hard days, we have a God who sees us, loves us, and promises to be with us.

And THAT is something worth celebrating. 🎉

So here’s my little Sunday challenge:

Look for one reminder of God’s goodness today. Just one.

WAKE UP, SLEEPER! ☀️

One of my girls occasionally asks me to call in the morning to make sure she’s awake. And let’s just say… sometimes one phone call isn’t enough. 🙃

Apparently, being awake and being OUT OF BED are two very different things!

But lately, I’ve been thinking about a different kind of wake-up call.

“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14

I wonder how many of us are walking through life with our spiritual snooze buttons on?

We’re busy. We’re checking boxes. We’re getting things done. But are we really awake to the life happening right in front of us?

Maybe you’ve been following Jesus for years. Maybe you’re still figuring out what you believe. Either way, I wonder if there’s an invitation here for all of us.

To slow down long enough to notice what matters. To ask bigger questions. To believe that maybe, just maybe, there’s more to life than getting through another day.

And I love that this verse doesn’t just say WAKE UP.

It says “Christ will shine on you.” ☀️

What a beautiful invitation to a fresh start!

So here’s your friendly wake-up call today (and I promise I won’t keep calling until you get out of bed! 😂).

Life is too precious to sleepwalk through it!

Now tell me… are you a jump-out-of-bed person or a five-more-minutes person? ⏰ ⬇️

What if you haven’t lost your faith, but you have lost your fire?

You still love Jesus.
You still believe.
You’re still showing up.

But somewhere along the way, the fire that once burned brightly has started to flicker. 🔥

That’s the heart behind my new message series Rekindled. It’s an invitation to remember, return, and allow God to rekindle the fire in our hearts again.

I had the privilege of sharing this message for the first time recently, and I’m excited to teach Rekindled again next week at Camp Michawana and then in Brownsburg, Indiana on November 7.

I’m already praying for the women who will be in those rooms and asking God to do what only He can do.

How fun is that?!

Different messages. Different places. Lots of amazing women. And one prayer through it all: Jesus, change lives. May women laugh, learn, open their Bibles, experience God in a fresh way, and leave different than they came. 🙌

It’s a full speaking season over here, which means lots of airports, hotel rooms, coffee, suitcase unpacking and repacking… and reminding dear women of Truth I never get tired of sharing. ❤️

Especially this one:

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us…” 1 John 1:9

Friend, you have not out-sinned the grace of God.

Not you.
Not me.
Not even that thing you really, really wish you could go back and undo.

That’s the beautiful thing about grace. We don’t have to clean ourselves up, get our act together, or promise Jesus we’ll be less of a hot mess next Tuesday. 😉

We confess.
He forgives.

And because of Jesus, we get to walk forward forgiven and free.

I’ve watched women’s faces change when they realize this Truth isn’t just for everyone else. It’s for them, too.

And maybe today, it’s for you. ❤️

You are loved. You are forgiven. Period.
