Our Adult Pre-Apprenticeship Program is growing!

We’re excited to welcome our newest carpentry cohort - and this group is nearly 4x larger than previous cohorts!

This growth reflects both the increasing demand for skilled trades training and our commitment to creating more opportunities for people to build careers through hands-on workforce development.

To make this possible, we’ve updated and strengthened our training model to a hybrid lab and on the job site training model, allowing us to expand our capacity while maintaining the hands-on instruction and support our participants need to succeed.

From learning the fundamentals of carpentry to gaining real-world experience, these participants are taking the next step toward careers in the skilled trades.

We’re excited to see what this cohort builds - both in the job and for their futures!

Last week we were able to celebrate and highlight the projects our high school students have been working on. They have done a fantastic job on their prescribed projects and they shared their plans and CAD drawings for their personal projects. Their personal projects are a culmination of everything they have learned throughout the year: sketching, CAD, creating a bill of materials, processing wood, assembly, and finishing. They have designed jewelry boxes, tackle box storage, plant stands, end tables and more!
