Hello with the tough times of the pandemic. Central Michigan Grad would like to share a few petitions and ways to advocate to help us as pharmacist in the community. We hope everyone is staying in if they can and staying safe.
1. I just signed the petition "CVS update employees' paid sick leave for illness and/or to care for sick family members." and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name.
Our goal is to reach 25,000 signatures and we need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here:

2. ASHP needs your help TODAY to ask senators to include pharmacist reimbursement in emergency COVID-19 legislation.
The Senate is crafting this legislation TODAY. We need your help to get reimbursement for pharmacists included.
Ask Congress to allow pharmacists to provide care to Medicare beneficiaries during this public health emergency.
To call your senators, please dial (202) 224-3121 and ask to be connected to your senators' offices.
To send an email, please use the take action button below.

3. Below is a message from one of our national membership groups the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), please follow the link at the bottom to tell your congressperson that Pharmacists need their help now.
As you may be aware, Congress is working on its third legislative relief package pertaining to the current COVID-19 health crisis. Pharmacists are on the front lines assisting patients and helping them cope during these difficult times, and it is imperative that patients maintain access to community pharmacies.
NCPA has provided recommendations to Congress and the administration on steps they can take to ensure patients maintain such access, including immediately eliminating all pharmacy DIR fees in Medicare and requiring adequate reimbursement to cover both acquisition and dispensing fees in Medicaid Managed Care.
This third legislative package is expected to move swiftly. NCPA has created a grassroots message you can send to your legislators urging inclusion of these provisions.
