Another amazing spring/summer of growth and opportunity. Over 80 team members across 6 trips.Countless moments of God’s faithfulness.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Inspirata Foundation in Honduras with so many amazing sports teams, students, disciples, coaches, and friends in ministry. Together, we’ve had the privilege of sharing the Hope, Hands, and Heart of Jesus through sports, service, and authentic relationships in Honduras and in Jamaica with Athletes in Action at GVSU - we also kicked off our first Re-Engage mountain marriage retreat and it was an amazing time!

Every vision trip reminds us that God is always at work in his people regardless of the circumstances. We learned to embrace the tension, pursue contentment in Christ and build grit and endurance for the race we have had in life’ It’s been a joy to see His faithfulness in every conversation, every game, every act of service, and every life He continues to transform.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, served, and went. We can’t wait to see what God has in store next.

Some people measure their legacy by trophies. Others measure it by lives.
For more than six decades, our founder, Jack King, has faithfully used sports as a platform to share the hope of Jesus. From Venture for Victory to Sports Ambassadors, Athletes in Action, and now Friendship Sports International, Jack has been a pioneer in sports ministry, investing in generations of athletes, coaches, and leaders around the world.
Today, at 91 years old, you read that right 91, he’s still doing what he’s always done, leading, encouraging, and pointing people to Christ.
This week is especially meaningful as Jack is leading a reunion of the 1975 Sports Ambassadors Baseball Team, celebrating 50 years of friendships built through the Gospel.
At Friendship Sports International, we’re incredibly grateful for Jack’s faithfulness and are honored to carry that vision into the next generation.

Still in the game. Still making disciples. Still pointing people to Jesus.

For over 30 years, Jim and Jenny King have faithfully invested in students, coaches, marriages, and lives around the world through Friendship Sports International.

Now it’s our opportunity to celebrate them as they transition in a new direction!

If they’ve impacted your life, or you’d simply like to honor two people who have faithfully served Jesus, we’d love for you to join us on October 10 during Taylor University Homecoming Weekend.

🎉 Come celebrate a remarkable legacy of ministry, friendship, and faith.

Re-Engage: An Eremos Experience

This past week, we spent time in the Eremos—the wilderness. The goal was simple: re-engagement.

To re-engage with God.

To re-engage with our spouses.

And to grow in friendship with others through that process.

For a week, couples stepped away from the busyness of everyday life and into the beauty of God’s creation through hiking, horseback riding, fishing, campfires, Yellowstone adventures, and simply slowing down.

The wilderness has a way of creating perspective. Standing among towering mountains, rushing rivers, and endless skies reminds us of both our smallness and God’s greatness. The vastness of creation is overwhelming, yet it remains minuscule compared to God’s love, grace, and pursuit of us each day.

Throughout the week, couples journeyed through devotions centered on Presence, Communication, Grace, Pursuit, and Covenant. Conversations deepened, friendships formed, and marriages were strengthened as we intentionally made space to reconnect with what matters most.

Much of Friendship Sports International’s ministry happens through teams and sports, but this retreat reminded us that God can use hiking trails, campfires, horses, and mountain overlooks just as powerfully to draw people closer to Him and to one another.

We are grateful for the conversations, the friendships, the adventure, and most of all, for a God who still meets people in the wilderness.

This was our first Re-Engage retreat, and we are already excited about building on what God began this week through future experiences like this.

Reconnect • Renew • Recommit

Day 6, our last day here in Honduras! In the morning we went to a special needs orphanage to hang out with the kiddos there. We spent the afternoon at El Picacho exploring and then came back to the hotel to rest up before our long travel day!! God has been so good to us this trip and we’re so grateful.
