Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization made up of dedicated volunteer foster families Pet overpopulation is a global crisis.

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Grand Rapids, MI, that is made up of dedicated volunteer foster families fighting to change the lives of homeless dogs of all ages, breeds and health until there are none. We are devoted to helping homeless, unwanted dogs and we work diligently to find them loving forever homes where they can happily live out the rest of t

heir lives. Founded in 2011, the rescue has been making sure dogs are provided with the best possible vet care, a safe place to stay, and all the love they deserve. Because we do not have a shelter facility, our volunteer foster homes take these wonderful dogs into their homes and love them like their own while we find their forever families. Our local animal shelters are full of amazing dogs that just need more time and help finding the right home. Many of our dogs come from these local county shelters and we strive to help as many dogs as possible. If we are able, we will help. We know we can’t save them all, but it matters to the ones we can. Until There Are None, Rescue One…

On April 17 our friends at Pound Buddies rescued “Tiny Tim” in that crate. He was covered in f***s and urine, his paw pads were raw from living in his own urine, and he had sores on his belly and in his mouth from his urine. He weighed 12 pounds. Pictures don’t begin to convey how thin he was, his total lack of muscle, and his curved spine. Fast forward to June and he is now Travis (aka Uncle Travy or Trav) who is healthy, happy, spunky, almost 30 pounds, and loving life with the people and dogs in his foster home. Uncle Trav is ready to find his forever family! You can learn more about him in the link in the comments. Is he your new best friend?

Pound Buddies is still looking for reliable information to identify the person(s) who allowed this to happen. So if you have information, please let them know!
