The day, August 1, began with a light rain on our way to Muskegon, but it cleared just in time for us to enjoy a wonderful experience aboard the WG Jackson research vessel. Many thanks to the GVSU-AWRI crew for providing an exciting opportunity for our budding scientists to learn about the marine life on Lake Muskegon and Lake Michigan.

We also extend our deep appreciation to our community partners—the Wege Foundation, Steelcase Foundation, Grand Rapids Community Foundation, LMCU, and Brookside Christian Reformed Church—for their generous support of our FutureNow! Youth Empowerment project. Thank you.
