This Sunday in Grandville we will be putting on a small event for about 40 children from the community to surprise them with Christmas love at 4pm.

We are in need of two things.

1. We always like to provide the families with a nice family photo that we can email to them if there's any photographers available that would be a blessing for us.

2. Appetizers. If anyone would be willing to make or buy or have delivered or bring some appetizers that would be awesome!

For 11 years we have given the children in our "I Dream Beautiful" Christmas celebration a Bible and a MSL blanket.

To those who have blankets and bibles spread across their house this may not mean a whole lot but to children who have neither these two things combined equal peace and comfort!

The goal of our event, which we call, “I Dream Beautiful” is that as you look back on this day years from now, instead of this Christmas memory being flooded with saddness, that you're able to also focus on a positive memory of the blessing of today, coming to you from friends and strangers that were filled with compassion for each of you. We continue to pray for healing as you mourn your precious daughter Alexa.

Due to the restrictions we are placed under from covid, we are making some changes. Instead of getting everyone together in one place as usual, we will be selecting several families from our community this year that have been directly impacted by cancer. God has really seemed to orient our focus in this area over the last few months so we want to honor that.

Each family will be highlighted with a little bit about their story and how you can help specifically with their needs, you will be provided information about each child in the family, their interests, favorite colors, and Christmas list. What will be different this year, is that you will be able to sponsor an entire family. If you do that, YOU are responsible to take care of that family and those needs. The intent is of course that you don’t do it on your own, but rather rally a few of your friends, co-workers or family members to join you. You will be the point person and assign each child to someone as well as collect some funds to go toward general needs or parents, etc. Whatever you feel led to in your heart.

As in the past, you will see several items under the sponsorship categories that others will donate directly to and the children will get these items as well from us, the organization. Once each family is sponsored, we will coordinate a meet time and place for a gift presentation to the family. We would ask that 1-2 people form your group join so you can be a part of this blessing!!

This year will be a little different, but it will still be the, “I Dream Beautiful” Christmas celebration!!

This is one of the mothers of the families that were invited to "I Dream Beautiful" Christmas celebration this year. The accident happened a few days before the event and so they did not attend. The children's father has asked if I would share. If you can please donate to help relieve some stress of all the medical expenses I know the family would greatly appreciate it. We will be dropping the gifts off to the children this evening.

Sunday night a man broke into the msl building at 1004 Leonard. He threw a rock through a side window, went inside rummaged through everything, drank beer from the fridge in the apartment, ate food, took off all the light covers, played with cards and make up, wiped his butt with white towels, went into the basement and stole several items, such as a guitar, a couple nail guns, framing nailers, reciprocating saw, and a couple boxes of misc. Items, a gold ring. He exited the building around 3am when the police were on their way, appears he parked at the church on tamarack.

It's just stuff, just a distraction. Glad nobody was hurt. It's a moment in time, doesn't change our mission to love others ;). Just hope he gets caught. I'll share more when I can. Thanks for the support.

If you hear of anything, please let me know. It appears he entered around 9pm and ransacked the place. After all we do for others, this is just so disappointing to me.
