Vision Zero - Grand Rapids

Vision Zero - Grand Rapids Whether you’re in a car or on a bicycle, we are all drivers. Together, we can work to improve our road relationships and drive change in Grand Rapids!

The Driving Change campaign is a bicycle safety education effort seeking to grow awareness of bicycle-related ordinances, educate motorists and bicyclists on new road infrastructure (e.g., new bike lanes), and build a more respectful culture between bicyclists and motorists. The Driving Change campaign aims to address a serious public safety issue in greater Grand Rapids — one of the worst bicycle

-related crash rates in Michigan. Grand Rapids has the second-highest percentage of fatal crashes involving bicycles of any city in the state. The program is funded primarily through a federal grant to the Michigan Department of Transportation and the city of Grand Rapids. To learn more, visit GRDrivingChange.org
