Senior Neighbors

Senior Neighbors Enhancing the Lives of Older Adults in Kent County, MI Senior Neighbors is here to remind seniors that they are no longer alone.

Since 1972, Senior Neighbors has been committed to providing services to at-risk seniors in Kent County, Michigan. Every year we serve over 4,000 older adults by providing services which support appropriate individual self-sufficiency. Ralph dedicated 6 years to serving our country as a U.S. Army Sergeant and Howitzer gunner. Today, as he faces cancer and recovery after a fall, safe access to his home is more important than ever.

Thanks to support from Meals on Wheels America and The Home Depot Foundation, Ralph can now move safely through his bathroom and focus on what matters most, healing alongside his wife in the home they love. Thank you for your service, Ralph💙

When generations come together, outcomes improve for everyone 🩺 🩵

At our Grandville center, we see this firsthand each semester as Grand Valley State University Kirkhof College of Nursing students learn alongside older adults. What starts as clinical experience becomes something more meaningful rooted in connection, vitality, and purpose.

Intergenerational spaces like these don’t just support skill-building. They strengthen community, reduce isolation, and remind us of the importance of lifelong learning.

This Nurses Month, we recognize the students who show up, listen, and invest in older adults. Thank you for all that you do!

This Memorial Day, we honor, remember, and reflect on those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸 In observance, our central office and five senior centers will be closed on Monday, May 25.

Grandville seniors marked the occasion by creating patriotic beach glass art in tribute to those who gave their lives in service.

Wishing you a safe holiday weekend, and we’ll see you Tuesday!
