Susan Mast ALS Foundation

Susan Mast ALS Foundation The Susan Mast ALS Foundation serves ALS patients, families and caregivers in West Michigan.

The Susan Mast ALS Foundation was created in loving memory of Susan Mast who passed away from ALS in 2014. Susan was the Executive Director at Faith Hospice and her passion in life was to help others in time of need. The Mast family is dedicated to keeping her memory alive so they created the foundation. The foundation offers support groups, educational seminars, loan closet, meALS program, respit

e and other areas of services - but most of all a helping and loving hand as they deal with the challenges of living with ALS.

What is ALS?

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive neurological disease that affects the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscle movement. Over time, people with ALS gradually lose the ability to walk, speak, eat, and breathe.

While there is currently no cure, there is a community of support, ongoing research, and people working every day to improve the lives of those affected by ALS.

Provide a meal for a family
Assemble thoughtful gift packages
Deliver meals and care packages
Create and send encouragement cards

Whether you have a few hours to give or want to serve regularly, your kindness can make a lasting impact on someone facing ALS.
