A look at this week at UCCF!

Big thanks to Bethlehem Lutheran Church for providing Church Lunch and keeping our students fed!

Pastor Laurie spent some time in Chicago for ELCA Mission Developer training.

At Open Table, we welcomed Pastor Kyle from St. Luke’s Lutheran for good food, conversation, and prayer for the world. We talked about what it means to be part of a community bigger than ourselves, with room for all kinds of people and stories.

It’s been another great week with UCCF!
We kicked things off with mini golf + ice cream on Sunday, then jumped into a busy week of Church Lunch, Open Table, and some time with our student interns working on leadership development.

At Open Table, we continued our Identity & Belonging series by asking, “Who is my neighbor?” and spending some time with the story of the Good Samaritan. Lots of good conversation about what it means to notice people, care for our neighbors, and actually show up.

We’re settling into the rhythm of the semester, and it’s fun to see this community taking shape. ❤️

What's going on this week?

Church Lunch: Hot Dogs! Come grab lunch, hang out, and take a midweek break. We love having you back!

Open Table: After burgers for dinner, we're wrapping up our September focus on identity and belonging with "Who is My Neighbor?" We'll talk about the Good Samaritan and what it means to actually be a neighbor to one another.

Office Hours: Pastor Laurie will be at Cook-Dewitt at GVSU Monday from 1-3 and Thursday 2-4. Come by if you want to chat, ask a question, or just sit for a while.

And if you'd rather grab coffee sometime, Pastor Laurie is always willing to do that too! Her treat.

Mini golf + ice cream = a pretty great Sunday night! ⛳️🍦 So many laughs with the UCCF crew. And yes, Pastor Laurie really did make everyone pretend to ride the fake train. 😂

A week of smiles at UCCF!

From our first Church Lunch of the semester, generously provided by the UCCF board, to a great Open Table full of good food and lots of laughs, we’re settling into our groove.

In worship, we continued our time focused on Identity & Belonging. This week we wrestled with what it means to decide what we believe—and how it’s okay for our beliefs to grow and change as we do.

Good food, good conversations, lots of laughter, and plenty of space to be curious. Pretty great week.
