We’re excited to invite you to the 2026 Grand Rapids Ducks Unlimited Gun Bash on Thursday, May 7th at 6:00 PM at the KC Event Center!

This is shaping up to be a great night of fun, fellowship, and exciting chances to win, with 30+ fi****ms available throughout the evening! In addition to the fi****ms, guests can also enjoy raffles, games, Ducks Unlimited merchandise, and more!

And of course, we’ll have a great meal for the evening catered by Grillin’ Guys BBQ. Many of you who have attended our past events already know just how good the food is, and we’re excited to have them back again this year!

Whether you’re a longtime supporter or joining us for the first time, this will be a night you won’t want to miss and in support of conservation!

What a fantastic day at our annual Spring Shoot!

We were thrilled to welcome **110 shooters this year—double from last year!** It was great to see so many supporters come out to enjoy a day of shooting, sunshine, fresh air, and a fantastic meal together.

A huge thank you to all of our sponsors, station hosts, volunteers, and shooters who made the event such a success. Your support and enthusiasm help make these events possible and continue to drive the mission of conserving wetlands for wildlife and future generations.

We’re excited to invite you to the 2026 Greater Grand Rapids Ducks Unlimited Spring Clay Shoot, taking place on Saturday, March 28th at Caledonia Sportsman’s Club in Alto!

This is a fun-focused event open to all shooters—whether you’re seasoned, casual, or just looking for a great day outdoors. The course will feature a 50-bird round, followed by lunch and awards.

Join us!
• Date: Saturday, March 28, 2026
• Location: Caledonia Sportsman’s Club
10721 Coldwater Ave SE, Alto, MI 49302
• Registration Opens: 8:00 AM
• Shotgun Start: 9:00 AM
• Cost: $60 per shooter (includes 50 birds & lunch)

Raffles & Prizes
We’ll also have raffles that include guns, sporting goods, Ducks Unlimited merchandise, and other great prizes.

What to Bring
• Your own shells (no shot larger than 7 1/2)
• Eye and ear protection (required)

It is with regret and sympathy that we share with our membership the sudden passing of Joe “Magic” Maggini late in the day of October 9th. He loyally served our Greater Grand Rapids Chapter for 51 years.
Joe held many titles with our organization, with his highest title, and position that he held for four years, being Chairman of the Board of Michigan Ducks Unlimited.
He began as a committee member for the Greater Grand Rapids Ducks Unlimited Chapter in 1974. He rose to become the Area Chairman, and then Zone Chairman and on to District Chairman, prior to becoming the Michigan Chairman of the Board. His many years of leadership earned him the further distinctions of Michigan Delegate to the National Convention, National Trustee, and then the final coveted honor of being named National Trustee Emeritus.
He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
