In every season of life, Christ invites us to grow closer to Him.

This Faith Focus Friday, Fr. Dan Schumaker of St. Patrick Parish in Grand Haven returns to reflect on the importance of adult faith formation. Revisiting what we learned as children can renew our understanding and help us encounter Jesus more deeply amid the questions, responsibilities, and experiences of our lives today.

The Catholic Information Center is a hub for adult faith formation, inviting adults to deepen their faith and connect the Gospel with everyday life. Continued learning and reflection help us recognize God’s presence, respond to His call, and carry His love into our families and communities.

Wherever you are on your faith journey, there is room to grow—and hope in what God has yet to reveal. Watch this week’s clip and consider your next step toward a deeper relationship with Christ.

Everyday encounters offer opportunities to share Christ’s love.

This Testament Tuesday, Hannah, an LFI mentor and former program participant, from St. Jude Parish, reflects on how the Catholic Information Center’s Leadership Formation Institute (LFI) has helped her recognize her spiritual gifts and become more intentional about how her words and actions affect others.

Living the Gospel takes shape in ordinary moments: listening with patience, speaking with kindness, and responding with compassion. Even on difficult days, God invites us to grow in grace. As we become more mindful of how we treat others, we can also deepen our relationship with Him.

Watch Hannah’s reflection and consider: How might God be calling you to share your gifts today?

God sees the gifts in every one of us.

This Faith Focus Friday, Dr. Ansel Augustine, of the USCCB’s Secretariat of Cultural Diversity in the Church, invites us to recognize God at work in people we might otherwise overlook. Rules have an important place in our faith, but titles, clothing, and credentials should never determine how we value another person.

Jesus called ordinary people to follow Him and share the Good News. That invitation reaches each of us today. Through compassion, prayer, and a willingness to serve, we can make Christ’s love visible in our families, parishes, and communities.

May we see one another through the eyes of Christ, welcome the gifts others bring, and trust that God can work through us, too. Your presence matters. Your gifts matter. With God’s grace, your everyday witness can bring hope to someone who needs it.

Jim is back, from St. Patrick Parish in Grand Haven, this Testament Tuesday, with a reflection on his experience in the Catholic Information Center’s Leadership Formation Institute. He shares how the encouragement, support, and practical tools he received helped him grow in confidence as he served his parish.

“You don’t have to be loud and boisterous in order to make a difference in the Church.”

Jim’s words remind us that Christ works through every willing heart. Whether our gifts are shared quietly or seen by many, each act of faithful service can help build up the Body of Christ.

This Faith Focus Friday, Fr. Stephen S. Dudek reminds us that every person is created in the image and likeness of God. The richness of our cultures and experiences helps us glimpse more of the beauty of God’s creation.

Jesus calls us to love our neighbors with open hearts. When we listen to one another and welcome the gifts each person brings, we grow together as the Body of Christ.

May we meet one another with gratitude, honor the dignity of every person, and share the hope of the Gospel with all.

“Have you prayed about it?”

For the 2026 Leadership Formation Institute cohort from St. Patrick Parish in Grand Haven, that question became the foundation for discernment—and ultimately led them to focus their parish project on Eucharistic Adoration.

In this Testament Tuesday reflection, Jim shares how the cohort recognized the parish’s Adoration Chapel as a constant place of prayer, encounter, and renewal. By beginning in Christ’s presence, they trusted that the right ideas, actions, and opportunities for service would follow.

This is the heart of faithful leadership: listening before acting, praying before planning, and allowing Jesus to guide the work. When we remain close to Christ in the Eucharist, He orders our steps and transforms our efforts into instruments of His grace.

Congratulations to Jim and the entire St. Patrick Parish LFI cohort for reminding us that fruitful ministry begins—and is sustained—in prayer.

This Faith Focus Friday, Cheryl from St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Kentwood shares how God’s unconditional love has carried her throughout her life and inspired her to extend His compassion and faithfulness to others.

As followers of Christ, we are called to make that love visible—by checking on a neighbor, offering a ride, sharing what we can, or reminding someone that they have not been forgotten. We may not be able to remove every burden, but we can help one another carry them, trusting that the Lord will lead us forward with grace, courage, and hope.

As rising gas prices and everyday expenses place added strain on household budgets, many families are carrying real worry. Yet even in difficult seasons, God’s faithful love remains constant.
