🦋There was a time in my life when I believed grief was something you eventually left behind.
What I've learned instead is that grief is more like Lake, Michigan.
Some days the water is calm, and you can see clearly for miles. Other days the waves rise unexpectedly, stirred by winds you never saw coming.
But the shoreline remains.
Life after loss has taught me that healing isn't about forgetting. It's about learning to stand through the changing seasons, trusting that even the rough waters will settle again.
The woman I was before loss is not the woman I am today.
I've been shaped by heartbreak, strengthened by adversity, and humbled by love.
I’m reminded, time and time again, that beauty still exists even after the hardest storms.
As I look out across the water, I see that every wave eventually returns to shore.
đź’—Maybe that's true for hope too.
