Michigan Counseling Association The MCA exists to promote and advance the interests of counseling services in the State of Michigan.

The Michigan Counseling Association (MCA) ia a non-profit, professional and educational organization that is dedicated to the growth and enhancement of the counseling profession. Founded in 1965, MCA is the state's largest association exclusively representing professional counselors in various practice settings. We provide leadership training, publications, continuing education opportunities, and

advocacy services for all members. The MCA helps counseling professionals develop their skills and expand their knowledge base.

This is a call for Board Nominations!

New Board Members allow us to continue the important work of advocacy, professional development, and support for counselors across the State of Michigan.

Elected Positions Available Include:

President-Elect | 3 year commitment
Secretary-Elect | 2 year commitment
Treasurer-Elect | 3 year commitment
In addition, we have a new position this year, Student Representative. This position will be appointed by the current board, The commitment will be for one year.

All of the positions will begin on July 1, 2026. A full description of the positions, including the Student Representative, can be found on the MCA website.

Please use the Nomination Form to self-nominate or nominate a colleague. Nominations are due by June 15, 2026.
