📸 Got a sighting? Wolf.Report is an independent, non-partisan online platform dedicated to bringing together hunters around wolf management and other issues that matter to them. We were founded in 2023 by a lifelong Deer hunter with deep Minnesota roots, and have been supported by the Minnesot

a Deer Hunters Association since December of the same year. Our mission is to empower hunters across the state with reliable information about wolf sightings while also serving as their advocate through advocacy programs for improved wildlife policies. Through our platform we strive to create a strong voice for hunters so they can become active participants in shaping future policy decisions that affect their way of life. Our vision is for all hunters, no matter where they live in Minnesota or who they are, to be able to access citizen provided data on wolves and engage in meaningful dialogue on how best to manage our deer resource for generations of Minnesotans ahead. Wolf.Report does not condone the illegal taking of wildlife. For this reason, posts are monitored and any and all reference to such activity will be removed by administrators.

Every sighting submitted helps build a better picture of wolf activity across the region. Whether it's a trail camera photo, tracks, a road crossing, or a firsthand observation, every report matters and helps make Wolf Report the most unique citizen-powered wolf tracking project in the country.

If you haven't already, help spread the word about Wolf Report by sharing our page with your friends, hunting buddies, and outdoor enthusiasts. The more reports we receive, the better the data becomes.

Not quite as headline-grabbing as cougar kittens, but there’s still plenty of wolf activity showing up across the state.

We’re seeing a steady stream of trail camera photos coming in—and for every photo report, we’re getting just as many sightings without photos, along with reports of tracks, howls, and other sign.

If you’re catching wolves on your cameras or noticing activity in your area, we’d love to hear from you. Help us build a better picture of what’s happening on the landscape by sharing your sightings at 👉 www.wolf.report

Another batch of reports rolled in this morning from the Wolf.Report website—and there’s some interesting activity across the region 👀

We’ve got:
• Photos from what appears to be an older wolf kill site
• New sightings reported in Aitkin, Marshall, Lake, Itasca, and St. Louis Counties

Not every report is a confirmed wolf—there’s at least one in this group that looks more like a coyote.

Take a look through the photos and let us know what you’re seeing ⬇️

Wolf Report Update – It’s Not Just “Up North” Anymore

Recent trail cam submissions to Wolf Report are painting a pretty clear picture… and not everyone is going to like it.

We’re seeing confirmed wolf activity across a wide stretch of Minnesota — including Pine, Aitkin, St. Louis, Todd, Cass, Kanabec, and Morrison counties.

Let that sink in.

This isn’t just a “far north woods” issue anymore. Wolves are showing up in places many people still claim they aren’t… or shouldn’t be.

And while some celebrate growing populations, others are starting to ask tougher questions:

What does this mean for deer numbers?
What does it mean for livestock and pets?
When will the federal government start talking about allowing states to manage wolves?

The reality is this — you can’t manage what you don’t track.
That’s exactly why Wolf Report exists.

📸 If you’ve got wolves on camera, we want to see them.

Reports are still coming in from across Minnesota — and we even received one sighting from neighboring Wisconsin.

Keep those trail cameras out and keep watching the woods. Your reports help paint a clearer picture of wolf activity across the region.

Included in this round of photos is a confirmed early-season fawn kill, a reminder that spring is an active time for predators as new fawns begin hitting the ground.

If you’re seeing wolves on your cameras or out in the field, please send your reports our way. The more information we gather, the better we can understand what’s happening on the landscape.

📷 Keep the cameras rolling and keep the reports coming!

You're in your stand. It's getting dark. And then you hear it — not one, not two, but 11 wolves moving through the timber toward you.

That's not a campfire story. That's a real report from Clearwater County, one of over 1,000 submitted to our wolf sighting map since 2023.

We built an interactive map of every community report across Minnesota — color-coded by county, broken down by sighting type. Trail cams. Kills. Tracks. Face-to-face encounters.

The picture it paints? Wolves are in more places than the DNR map shows.
