At last night’s board meeting we discussed the results and how the weather played a huge role in tournament. So it was the board’s decision to call the tournament a wash and give everyone 10 pts showed up to St Clair. We are sorry for the confusion and are working our tournament better. With that being said we are in need of at least two more board member seats to be filled.

I your not busy come on out tonight.

Please join us on Tuesday May 26th 7:00 pm at West Walker sportsman club

This will be a fun night with a great speaker from the east side on the state.

CAPTAIN RICKY CAUDILL
USCG licensed charter captain. Owner of M’Eye Time Charters

Local to the Detroit River and Lake Erie bodies of water, I have over 20 years of experience fishing for walleye and perch. Starting at a young age, with my dad and grandpa, my love for the water was always strong. Being blessed with great mentors along the way, they have provided me the best knowledge and helped build amazing relationships within the industry. Weather permitting, I am on the water at least 5 days a week year round. This commitment has given me the experience needed to find the bite, be successful, and ensure all my clients walk away with a rewarding experience wanting more.
Outside of catching my client's fish, my goal on each trip is to provide a family friendly environment and answer as many questions as possible to help educate those that are fishing with me. My charter consistently offers discounted and free seats for kids, as a method to help grow our sport, and get kids outside and on the water. I’m looking forward to discussing how I approach walleye fishing during the different times of the year.

April 28th Regular Meeting

Come join us a 7:00 Tuesday at our regular meeting. We are privileged to have a pair of speakers this month who will discuss some specific topics that deal with getting your boating season off to a good start.

First, we will hear from Ed Scheidel of Great Lakes Trolling Motor. Ed will bring his trolling motor knowledge dealing with spring maintenance things we should pay attention to with our trolling motors. He will also discuss new technology in trolling motors and differences between the Terrova, Ultrex and Ulterra models.

Secondly, we will hear from Brandon Bilski from Performance Fishing Labs. Brandon is an avid walleye angler. With competitive angling success and a professional technology career, he combines his joy of fishing, writing, and technology to help others. An entrepreneur and public speaker specializing in electronics rigging and performance. To better use your electronics, reach out at [email protected].

Brandon will be cutting through some of the misconceptions around rigging and battery requirements. He works at keeping it simple for complete electronics powering. He will be covering the newest battery technology as well as things you may wish to think about when you need to repower your boat on the battery side.

We hope to see you all there on Tuesday to hear about the Detroit tourney, learn about a new award for tourney winners this season, and possibly win yourself a door prize as well. Come join us.

Well, weather again played a part in yesterday's tourney as thunderstorms threatened the event. After looking at radar, it was decided to delay the start until 8:30. While lightning did roll thru as well as fairly heavy rain, we were able to start at 8:30 although we did not dodge the rain. When all was finalized, Tipton and Ligman came out on top casting the Colchester area in some nice big waves. Congratulations to them on the win and all others who competed. Now, on to St. Clair on May 16. You are still welcome to come join us and enjoy the fun.

Join the club and you will receive our newsletter which contains some detailed reports on what the top teams did on the day.
