Thank You for Supporting Native-Led Change!

As Native Nonprofit Day comes to a close, we want to say Chi Miigwech / Thank You to every single person who participated - whether you clicked a link, read a post, shared our story, or made a donation.

Your engagement today helps amplify the voices of Native entrepreneurs, support economic equity, and strengthen Indigenous communities across the country.

NNASC is proud to stand alongside so many incredible Native-led nonprofits on this day of unity, visibility, and action. And we are especially grateful to the Native Ways Federation for creating and leading this important movement.

Together, we’ve shown what Native-led solutions can achieve—and how powerful it is when others believe in our vision too.

Help NNASC Open Doors for Native-Owned Businesses

Native Nonprofit Day is about more than generosity - it’s about justice, visibility, and Native-led solutions.

At NNASC, we are proud to be the only national certifier focused exclusively on Native-owned businesses, and the only one that recognizes tribally owned enterprises as eligible for MBE certification.

What sets tribally owned businesses apart is that their success directly benefits entire communities - supporting Tribal housing, education, health services, cultural preservation, and beyond.

For too long, Tribally owned businesses were excluded from the MBE conversation. We’re changing that. With your support, we are opening access to national supplier diversity programs for Native businesses of all ownership models:
• Individually Native-owned
• Tribally owned
• Tribal Economic Development Corporation-owned

Your donation today helps us certify more Native-owned businesses, grow corporate partnerships, and strengthen Indigenous economies nationwide.

Entrepreneurship Is a Job - And Native Business Builds More Than Bottom Lines

At NNASC, we must amplify the voices of the Native-owned companies we certify, especially on days like Native Nonprofit Day. Native entrepreneurs are more than founders - they are builders of families, economies, and futures.

We believe entrepreneurship is a job - one that often comes without a safety net, but with enormous responsibility. Native-owned businesses don’t just generate revenue - they reinvest in communities, preserve culture, and open doors for the next generation.

💬 Hear from Native leaders in our network:

“We don’t just build facilities - we build communities. As a Native woman-owned business, it’s important that we give back to the communities that raised us. Whether it’s creating jobs, supporting Sault Tribe Business Alliance, or mentoring other small business owners, we believe in lifting others as we climb.”

“At Eagle Specialties, we’re not just competing - we’re proving that Native-owned companies belong at every table and on every job site.”

Taryn Sulkes, President & CEO, Eagle Specialties

“I am proudly Native, and that holistic perspective on community drives every decision I make. At Green Arrow, every contract we win isn’t just for our company - it’s for the workers we hire, the families we support, and the youth we inspire to become entrepreneurs themselves.”

Wayne Montour, President, Green Arrow Staffing & Arrowhead Medical Supply

“Tribal EDC's are more than just business enterprises - we are community builders and leaders on the frontline of economic self-determination. The jobs we create and the revenue we generate directly support Tribal housing, healthcare, education, and cultural preservation. Every success reinvests in our people and our future.”

John McClellan, Economic Development Director, Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians

NNASC is proud to support these voices and hundreds more by providing national Native-owned MBE certification, visibility, and access to corporate partnerships.

Today is the Day — Native Nonprofit Day is Here!

🎉 Today is Native Nonprofit Day, a nationwide giving initiative designed to support Native-led nonprofits doing transformative work across Indian Country.

NNASC is proud to participate in this movement, alongside so many incredible Native-led organizations. We believe that Native communities hold the knowledge, talent, and solutions to drive our own success. But we also face systemic funding inequities that make it harder to bring those solutions to life.

At NNASC, we’re by Natives, for Natives—the only national MBE certification body founded and governed by Native professionals. Our mission is to certify Native-owned businesses, build meaningful corporate partnerships, and create a nationwide network where Native entrepreneurs can connect, collaborate, and thrive.

Native Nonprofit Day is an initiative of the Native Ways Federation, which also curates and shares a vetted list of Native-led organizations making real impact in their communities.

Native Nonprofit Day is Tomorrow – Support Native-Led Change!

The National Native American Supplier Council (NNASC) is proud to stand with the Native Ways Federation in supporting , a national giving initiative dedicated to uplifting Native-led organizations.

At NNASC, we are Native-founded, Native-governed, and built for Natives, by Natives. We exist to certify Native-owned businesses, advocate for economic equity, and build systems of opportunity that reflect our values and sovereignty.

Native Nonprofit Day recognizes that Native-led organizations hold the solutions to the challenges facing Native communities. But we also face deep systemic funding inequities. This initiative is a chance for allies, donors, and foundations to invest directly in Native-led change.

The team at the National Native American Supplier Council extends a heartfelt thank you to all the brave men and woman for your service and sacrifice. Chi miigwetch to all of our Native warriors.

Today the National Native American Supplier Council (NNASC) celebrates the start of Native American Heritage Month. Our nonprofit acknowledges the countless sacrifices that our ancestors made to ensure our culture, traditions, languages, and ways of life continue to be shared from one generation to the next. Our ancestors proudly protected our sovereignty and provided a path for Tribes and Natives to use self-determination and self-governance to address the challenges we face.

Our nonprofit advocates for Native owned businesses by ensuring that we are providing opportunities to connect, collaborate, and thrive. NNASC was founded on the principles of self-determination and self-governance and provides a path for Native businesses to be included in the Minority Business Enterprise conversation.

No one is better equipped to determine “Native owned” than our Native run nonprofit.

Earlier this week, NNASC Executive Director Jason Palmer had the opportunity to join Michigan Radio's Stateside program to share NNASC’s mission and impact on Native-owned businesses.

"What’s unique about Tribal ownership specifically is we’re recognized as a minority status, but beyond that, Tribes are governments."

NNASC continues to advocate and educate on behalf of Native-owned companies. Click on the link below to hear more about our impact and certification process.

NNASC is thrilled to share that our membership grew this past week! The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians submitted a resolution of support from the legislative (Tribal Council) and executive (Tribal Chairperson) branches of their government.

For Natives by Natives is core to who we are. NNASC is a nonprofit corporation formed on a membership basis, and Tribal Governments Members are our primary membership class. This structure ensures that Native interests are central to the work that we do.

NNASC membership for tribal governments is free, and our only requirement is a resolution of support. Thank you to the elected leaders at Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians for their support.
