Lindsy Skrbec serves as Director of Strategic Engagement and Business Development for the Itasca Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). A Grand Rapids native and graduate of Grand Rapids High School, Lindsy is passionate about supporting local businesses, strengthening workforce initiatives, and advancing economic opportunities throughout Itasca County.

Lindsy earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder and brings more than a decade of professional experience spanning finance, human resources, business operations, and education. Her career has included work with large industrial employers, small businesses, and public education, providing a broad perspective on the workforce and economic development challenges facing northern Minnesota communities.

In her role with IEDC, Lindsy works closely with local employers, community leaders, and regional partners to support business growth, workforce development, and strategic initiatives that contribute to the long-term success of Itasca County.

Lindsy and her husband, John, live in Grand Rapids with their three children and are proud to call the community home.

Kyle Erickson is an executive leader with more than 15 years of experience in economic development, workforce initiatives, and manufacturing operations across northern Minnesota. He is known for building partnerships across organizations and leading teams in both nonprofit and private-sector environments.

Erickson began his career with the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA), where he managed workforce development programs and supervised the Virginia Workforce Center, partnering with technical colleges and community organizations to expand employment opportunities in the region.

He later served as Executive Director of Deer River Hired Hands, where he helped lead the organization’s affiliation with Minnesota Diversified Industries (MDI), a nonprofit manufacturer. Following the affiliation, he continued with MDI as General Manager, overseeing manufacturing operations, facility expansion, and cross-functional teams in production, engineering, and workforce development.

In addition to his professional leadership, Kyle has served as an adjunct faculty member, collegiate head coach at Minnesota North College – Itasca, and community board member, reflecting his commitment to education, leadership development, and regional growth.

Kyle is honored to live in Coleraine and to work at the IEDC, allowing him to serve both his hometown and county.
