Family Promise was proud to partner with Amway for their annual Amway Cares Week of Service. Last week, Amway team members endured the humidity to trim weeds and mow the lawn at our Wyoming Park Family Shelter and lay mulch at our Alger Family Shelter.

In the afternoon, they baked cookies and helped organize a back to school event for families--shoutout to Corium Innovations for donating all the school supplies! We love special days like this when our community shows up in full force to support our team, families, and work! 💪

Family Promise of West Michigan is looking forward to spending the evening with West Michigan Trails during our Trail MeetUp on Tuesday, August 11, at 5:00 PM.

We'll be exploring the Fred Meijer M-6 Trail, and whether you prefer walking, running, or biking, everyone is welcome. This family-friendly event is designed for all ages and abilities, and the fully paved trail system makes it accessible to everyone.

We'll meet at Starbucks (6333 Kalamazoo Ave. SE) at 5:00 PM before heading out around 5:30 PM. Afterward, anyone who would like to stay is invited to join us at Peppino's to connect and socialize.

Family Promise believes in prioritizing accessibility, belonging, and community, and we're excited to spend an evening enjoying the outdoors together while sharing more about our mission to help families experiencing homelessness and housing instability.

Family Promise will provide water and granola bars. Just bring comfortable clothing, appropriate footwear, and a sense of adventure.

Huge shoutout to our friends at Birch Tree Bark & Stone for checking off one of our bucket list projects: laying mulch at our Alger Family Shelter! While a project like this may seem trivial, it in fact has a huge impact on making our emergency shelter spaces more inviting and dignified for families navigating a crisis. We're so grateful to

We are looking forward to a collaborative event with our friends at West Michigan Trails! On Tuesday, August 11 at 5 PM, we will be hitting the trail system at the Fred Meijer M-6 Trail at 6333 Kalamazoo Ave SE! Whether you prefer to walk, run, or bike, all are welcome. This casual and family-friendly event is all about getting outside and enjoying the fresh air this summer!!
