Politics are designed to divide us on the fringe issues...what we all have in common and the ruling interest in our lives is our labor on which we are able to provide for our families. Our solidarity as workers unites us all. The fight for better jobs and equality for all goes far beyond red or blue. What once seemed like revolutionary ideas where fought and won by men and women of labor. Blood, sweat and tears. Today we honor those who came before us and those who continue to be forever vigilant in our struggle. Happy Labor Day.

A video taken by an auto worker and obtained exclusively by Labor Notes shows a rowdy and chaotic scene inside Ford’s Dearborn, Michigan Truck Plant on Wednesday as workers refused to work after a co-worker tested positive for COVID-19. A revolt for worker class solidarity begins with our understanding of the master class attack on worker class consciousness. The attack on our solidarity as workers, is a well oiled, well planned corporate machine. A machine hell bent on deregulation of workers rights, deregulation of worker heath and safety and legislative efforts to impede our rights to organize. There is no republican answer and there is no democratic answer. Both parties are drunk on capital and neither will ever let you vote their wealth away. Their wealth is their power and power does not concede itself without a fight to retain just order. The revolution starts with a recovery of worker class consciousness, an understanding and return to worker solidarity and braking the chains of our societal divisions. I believe the COVID-19 crisis has opened our eyes to how little the master class values the workers in our society. We see what and who is essential to keep our economy moving forward. We've gained new understanding, respect and appreciation for our low wage earners. As quickly as our corporate masters want us to begin to fill their coffers again, their biggest worry is not their profit. It that we will remember and we will begin to lift one another and rise to meet them on our terms.
