Come celebrate Black History Month with a community circle for US. Through intergenerational dialogue, spoken word + storytelling, we will explore through guided conversation and exchange what a new Black future looks like in 2026, what we have learned from elders and ancestors and what we can build together moving forward.

This experience is about the power of gathering and connecting, celebrating our creativity, collective imagination and protecting space that centers Blackness. For us, by us.

Join us for Freedom School: Zine Lab at February 24th!

Zine Lab is a creative storytelling workshop powered by Black woman artists centered around collaging, book arts and personal archiving. This 2/24 workshop is part of the Freedom School community workshop series 🌱🌻

In honor of Black History Month, this lab emphasizes zines as everyday archives and tools for documenting our personal history.

Open to all levels, recommended for ages 13 and up – come learn about the Black history of zines and explore hands-on publishing practices with including cutting, layering, folding, binding, and assembling handmade zines using accessible, found materials.

Dinner and supplies included! Due to limited seating, RSVPs are strongly encouraged. You can RSVP using the QR code, link in our bio or link shared in our stories.
