We’re always amazed by how many wonderful people in our community ask how they can give back to Once Upon a Room Grand Rapids! ❤️ This holiday season, we’re inviting individuals, families, neighbors, school classes, and friend groups to create themed silent auction baskets for our upcoming Wreath & Wonder event on November 20! Whether it’s a coffee lover’s dream, a cozy night in, or something completely creative, every donation helps us bring comfort, joy, and a little magic to children facing extended hospital stays. Meet Brooke, our incredible Business Community Coordinator, room shopper, and all around best human! 💜

Brooke is one of those people who makes everything she touches better. From building relationships with local businesses to helping shop for the special items that bring our room transformations to life, she pours so much heart into Once Upon a Room.

We are SO thankful to have Brooke on our board and on this mission with us. Her kindness, creativity, dedication, and genuine love for the families we serve makes such a difference, not just in the work we do, but in the people around her. 🥹

A little coffee can go a long way for a family spending weeks or even months in the hospital. ❤️

When we decorate a room, we love to surprise the parents too! One of our favorite parts of the room reveal is sending parents out for 30 minutes to grab a coffee on us while we put the finishing touches on their child’s room. Then they come back to a special surprise waiting for them too. ✨

We’re so grateful to Ms. Fekete’s NorthPointe Christian preschool class for generously collecting Biggby coffee gift cards to help make these moments possible! Your kindness will bring a little comfort, joy, and caffeine to families during an incredibly difficult season. ☕️💙
