As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, our Legion, Auxiliary, & SAL put together a joint project to honor and thank our local law enforcement officers. The theme was “We Back the Blue” and each of our organizations donated funds for pizzas to be delivered to GRPD on 2 dates for 2 different shifts. We want to recognize and thank our friends at Fred’s Pizza for all their help with this project! As you will see in the photos, we also created artwork and put together a tri-fold display signed by many of our members.

** PLUS, the Auxiliary donated over 700 cookies and an additional $250 to the GRPD Foundation! Representing the GR Police Department and Foundation: Lieutenant Joe Dailey, and Detective Andy Snyder.

The Grand Rapids Police Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2016 to provide financial and volunteer support for the Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD). It funds community outreach, youth programs, equipment, and officer training that exceed standard city budgets
