Hello Alger Heights Neighbors! Tabernacle Community Church will be hosting a visitation and funeral this Thursday (2/5) and Friday (2/6) for a beloved member of our community. We expect that traffic for visitation on Thursday will be lighter and a bit more spread out. On Friday, however, we will have Family time, the service, and the post-service meal/gathering from 10am-5pm and are expecting a large turnout. We are doing our best to ask our members to park in Seymour church's lot and allow guests to use our Tabernacle lot, but there may be some overflow into the street (particularly Nevada). We ask for your patience and hospitality for the family and friends who are coming to mourn that day.

We are open today and here for the community. Just because schools are closed does not mean we are. If you need a warm place to be, we invite you to stop in, visit our market, shop our thrift store, or take a moment to rest in our lobby.
We plan to remain open during our regular scheduled hours as often as possible. If we need to close, updates will be shared on Facebook, and all scheduled appointments will be contacted directly to reschedule.

I had the privilege of participating in the Tree Lighting ceremony, as part of Holiday in the Heights this weekend. May the light of that tree be our reminder this holiday season of the beauty that is present when neighbors come together.

Thank you to all who worked so hard to make that a great event. And thank you to all the neighbors who participated!

In just 2 weeks, our neighborhood will be filled with costumed runners! You don't run? I don't either! But I do know how to cheer and celebrate. I'll be in my front lawn cheering on the runners as they go by. Are you on the race route? Comment below to host a cheering section. Free JB's Pizza goes to the best Cheering Section!
