We have been working all week to prepare for the fair tomorrow at the Grand Rapids Center for Community Transformation, and we look forward to seeing everyone there! Here are a couple updates:

1) We want to let everyone know that walk ins will be welcomed at the fair, but we must note that those who were pre-screened will be given priority. We won't be able to complete the application process for walk ins, but we can absolutely get the process started and answer questions!

2) Due to the rise in covid-19 cases, masks will be REQUIRED for all volunteers and attendees. We will be providing masks for attendees but we encourage everyone to bring their own as well.

3) If you received an email saying you were ineligible and were not contacted by one of our lawyers, we will reach out to you again after the fair to give legal guidance.

You can help direct attendees through each station, support our volunteer attorneys, and assist in event set up and break down. We welcome all those who want to play a role!

A very special shoutout to our volunteer attorneys for making this fair possible! This is one of our pre-screening sessions where we are looking through our registrants to determine eligibility. We could't do this without them!

For an expungement application, you must pay a $50 application fee in the form of a money order or check. Fifth Third Bank has partnered with our organization to assist attendees in getting cashier's check and setting up bank accounts in the run up to the fair. If you need assistance in setting up a bank account, you can go to their location 754 Franklin St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507!

If you have a conviction in Kent County you wish to erase from the public record, you may be eligible for expungement thanks to changes in Michigan law.
