Heneveld became passionate about equipping kids with positive behavior skills to make wise choices for their best life. After six years of groundwork TrueSuccess was formally established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2006. TrueSuccess has grown to provide grade-appropriate educational supplements that simultaneously equip kids, grades K-12, with positive behavior skills and core curriculum (CCSS) skills. The materials are flexible and uses include in-classroom, after-school, mentoring, parenting and at community centers and camps. TrueSuccess curriculum supplements include interactive tools that engage students with intriguing visuals, inspiring real-life stories of positive role models and other fun, educational activities. As one student said, “TrueSuccess is educational and fun.” The virtue themes of TrueSuccess include the following positive behavior skills: Respect, Wisdom, Gratitude, Self-Control, Grit, Responsibility, Encouragement, Compassion and Integrity. At the core of TrueSuccess are its Lifestories and Virtue Videos. The subjects of these are positive role models who provide kids with examples and encouragement to help them overcome life’s challenges. This core TrueSuccess philosophy of using positive role models is summed up well in a quote from Dr. Ben Carson who went from a childhood of dire poverty to become a world-renowned brain surgeon:

“Reading biographies of successful people, I realized that I could change my circumstances of poverty by programming my brain with the kind of information that would guarantee academic success. That, I believed, would allow me to choose my own destiny.” -Dr. Ben Carson

With the continuing moral decline in America, TrueSuccess continues to be passionate about significantly expanding the number of kids equipped with positive behavior skills to make a difference on the future of our country.

One of the greatest gifts our team has received over the past two years is our partnership with South Elementary (Coopersville)!! 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Ophoff is a transformational leader of young people! Her 4th graders are PROS at integrating TrueSuccess into their writing plan, and each student is an author AND illustrator as they collaborate and create their own authentic book which shares how each student has been shaped by one of the 9 positive behavior skill focuses from the current school year! Young leaders are being equipped!!!

It's exciting to think about the impact our teachers will have this month teaching and discussing "Respect" during September! Tomorrow's adults are currently sitting in our classrooms. We have incredibly gifted people teaching them at an early age to VALUE their different talents, skills and gifts. Not just that...but to also RESPECT the different talents, skills and gifts of others!
