The JAFAX Cosplay Department is proud to introduce our 2026 Cosplay Guest Judges. These three individuals represent a diverse selection of cosplay creation skills. From sewing and corsetry, to armor and casting, molding, metalwork, SFX makeup, and wig work; the judging team is excited to greet you on Saturday when you enter our Saturday Cosplay Contest.

If you have not pre-registered for the Saturday Cosplay Contest, don’t sweat it! Please come to the cosplay table after 10AM Saturday to sign up for a judging time! Judging will be happening from 11AM to 4PM on Saturday and appointments are first come, first served. We cannot wait to see you!

Cerkl Creations:
Cerkl is a materials scientist and cosplayer from Metro-Detroit. She specializes in 3D modeling and printing, mold making and casting, prop making, sewing, and voice acting. She is a member of the 501st and loves giving back through cosplay. Cerkl represented the USA at the International Cosplay League championships in Spain in 2022 where she won 3rd place as the craftsmanship-only solo. She also enjoys writing and performing skits with her bestie Ziggystardiamond.

LeviathanBlaze:
LeviathanBlaze is a cosplayer and costume designer from Ontario, Canada. They have won a number of awards for craftsmanship and performance including multiple Best in Shows. They specialize in historical and couture sewing.

🔥NEW STAFF ALERT! We're happy to announce that Luna Lady of Light () will be taking over Cosplay Contest coordination for 2026. Luna has been cosplaying for 20 years. She has over 40 awards to her name including three national titles: Team USA for the World Cosplay Summit 2023, Gyeonggi International Cosplay Festival 2022, and Clara Cow’s Cosplay Cup 2018. She is currently the Cosplay Department Head and International Events Head for Youmacon in Detroit. She has lived in Grand Rapids for 10 years and does theater with Circle Theater when she’s not busy with cosplay. She is excited to return to Jafax as Interim Cosplay Events Coordinator.

Joining Luna is her right hand OhMyGlobaTalkingMuffin a.k.a. Katie.

Katie () is a cosplayer and mechanical engineer from Southeastern Michigan. She has been cosplaying since 2013 and competing since 2015. She loves being on the other side of the curtain helping to run the contests. She is the ADH of Cosplay for Youmacon. She enjoys helping other cosplayers by working Cosplay Repair at several conventions. She is happy to join Jafax as Interim Cosplay Events Co-Coordinator.
