Shepherds of Independence All of us need a place to call home...Come be part of a place that will never quite leave you and develop friendships that will forever change you!

Shepherds of Independence is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe, affordable, permanent supportive housing for adult men and women overcoming homelessness AND struggling with mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and/or other medically disabling conditions. Our campus is currently home to 49 residents. We strive to acknowledge the dignity and potential of our residents by providing housing, advocacy, outreach education, meals, medication oversight, life skills development, and other support services. We envision a community where diversity and inclusion are valued and individuals reach their full potential. We are committed to being a place where experience and creative solutions come together to open the door of possibility for those most in need.
