Thanks to an American Cancer Society research grant, Dr. Dominik Awad, PhD, at the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center, is studying the connection between our gut microbiomes and pancreatic cancer, a largely uncharted but promising area of research.

Congratulations to Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park & Chef Andy Krause for taking home the People's Choice Award last night!

We're proud to share that our culinary team participated in the American Cancer Society's Taste of Hope—and we showed up in a big way!

After four years of proudly hosting this incredible event, this was our first time stepping into the culinary showcase—and what an unforgettable debut it was.

A huge thanks to all of the staff who helped plan, prep, and represent Meijer Gardens so well. Your teamwork and enthusiasm made a real impact.

A special thanks to Horticulturist Mandi Stade for the stunning floral arrangements and design work for the event.

And an enormous thank you to our Culinary Arts & Events Team for your talent, dedication, and high standards. Your hard work and creativity truly shined—earning us the People’s Choice Award!
