Conversation Club began in 2015 a group of women from local churches in Cook County began to teach conversational English classes for a group of Chinese students working at the local grocery store. Since then our classes have been opened to the rest of the International workforce employed in Cook County.

Our classes are not formal English as a Second Language classes. Instead, we focus on speaking skills. Each week our Conversation Coaches (who are pretty amazing!) will facilitate a discussion on a specific topic while assisting students with pronunciation and grammar. We have students at all different levels and it is our great joy to be able to help you succeed in speaking English regardless of where you fall in your ability.

Over the past 4 years we have had students from over 20 nations! This is a great opportunity for students to not only meet Americans, but people from all over the world. Many of those who attended Conversation Club have said that it was the highlight of their time in America and many strong friendships have been formed during our program.
