Our new summer staff have just returned safely from their Wilderness Leadership Expedition! They spent 21 days traveling through the beautiful Superior National Forest on foot, and navigating the Boundary Waters (BWCAW) by canoe.
On returning to Mink Lake, they shared stories and themes from their adventure where they:
>Experienced the awe and wonder of God’s creation.
>Wrestled with the ideas of competition and unity, and how to work together as a team.
>Recognized the trials we all face, and how God provides the help to overcome adversity.
Now back at base camp, our new instructors will be spending the next several weeks completing a Wilderness Waterfront Safety course, getting certified as Wilderness First Responders, and learning how to lead wilderness programs in Wilderness Instructor Training.
Students for session 1 trips arrive at Mink Lake on June 29th! We are so excited to be kicking off the 2026 summer season.
