My rose of the day? I have many each day with these kids but this one….
We are done working on the play for the day. Its been a long first week and we accomplished a ton! Im very proud! So we are just Chilling in the lobby. Some kids drawing, some kids chatting and some kids gathering aound a piano, each taking turns to play a bit. Applause after each. One kid steps up to play a full piece others gather. He finishes piece to loud applause. Another boy says “Proud of you, Bro!” Hi fives!!
I love these kids!! Good job parents!!

Theater summer camp started today! 41 eager actors are gathering to create an awesome production of “Olympus, The Greek Rock Musical!” Performing in Two weeks!! June 20-21 at 1 pm at the ACA!

Rehearsals have begun for summer show! Mark Your Calendar! Come early come often! It's gonna be a not to be missed event!

As You Like It a musical adaptations of Shakespeare's As You Like It will open July 16.

The Grand Marais Playhouse will hold auditions for AS YOU LIKE a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s As You Like It adapted by Shaina Taub and Laurie Woolery, on Tuesday, April 28 at 7 PM at the Arrowhead Center For The Arts.
This community focused production is open to ages 8 and up. All Principle roles will be filled by adults. Adults and youth will fill all other roles and the ensemble.

Congratulations to Ben Fitzgerald-Wells!! Ben is the 2026 recipient of the Grand Marais Playhouse "Excellence in Theater Award". Moriarty was Ben's senior show.( He played Sherlock) We wish him all the best as he ventures off to amazing adventures! Thank you, Ben for sharing your time and talent with us and the community! Calling all singers, dancers, musicians!! Come to the Interest meeting for Playhouse's summer musical.
Meeting held April 14 at 7 PM at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts. Show will be determined based upon interest and commitment of those present. Performance dates determined by cast commitment and availability. Preferably three weekends July 17-Aug. 9.
