Just some of the special foods in our last two Food as Medicine shares! Incredible plums from Good Nature Farm, gorgeous eggs from Melissa Brooks, fragrant wild rice from Ghost Hill Farm, and pearly garlic gifted by Grand Portage Gardens. Thank you to all the growers, foragers, and processors that make up this food chain. We are so grateful to be part of it!

Part 3 of our food preservation workshop series! Eric led us through all the functions on the Anova chamber vacuum sealer yesterday. We made infused oil, tinctures, pickles, and more. In these photos we are processing St John’s Wort for a tincture, which the chamber vacuum sealer can make in minutes. You're invited to our second annual Harvest Celebration! 🍂🎃 Friday Oct 2nd, 5-7:30 at the Cook County Community Center.

This free, family-friendly event is meant to celebrate delicious food, our local growers, and the land that provides for us. Fishcakes and salad will be provided. Please bring a dish for the potluck, apples for the community c***r press (if you have them), and an instrument for the jam after dinner.
