The journey of Care Partners has followed a serendipitous course from its beginnings. Each of the many volunteers, staff, board members, community leaders, clients, and organizational partners we’ve been privileged to encounter along the way have left their mark on this organization. As we have grown and evolved over the past 11-plus years (over 20 years since our conception), we have seen so much compassion poured into this community, as well as respect and care for our elders – the most “experienced” among us!
As nature ushers in a time of transition around us, Care Partners is also entering a new season which we trust will reflect the newness and creativity that flow so abundantly in this community. After 5 years at the helm of Care Partners, our Executive Director Julie Wilson will be moving on to serve the elders of our north shore community in a new capacity beginning in November. Julie has brought infectious enthusiasm, creativity, compassionate and effective leadership, a gift for establishing and strengthening community partnerships, and a huge heart to her work at Care Partners.
Angela Nelson, Care Partners Dementia Specialist / Care Coordinator, will serve as our Interim Executive Director until the position is permanently filled. Angela brings extensive knowledge and experience through her work across aging services, and she will be a great asset to our team and the community during this transition. We are grateful for her, for the commitment of our dedicated board, staff, and volunteers, and – as always - for the continued support of our incredible community.
