Rotary Club of Grand Lake, Colorado This objective is set against the "Rotary 4-way Test", used to see if a planned action is compatible with the Rotarian spirit. Is it fair to all concerned?

Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

1.The development of acquain

tance as an opportunity for service;
2.High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
3.The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;
4.The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service. The test was developed by Rotarian and entrepreneur Herbert J. Taylor during the Great Depression as a set of guidelines for restoring faltering businesses and was adopted as the standard of ethics by Rotary in 1942. It is still seen as a standard for ethics in business management:

Is it the truth? Will it build good will and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Narcan can reverse an opioid overdose, and here in Grand County, it is used in emergency response. According to Grand County EMS Chief, Austin Wingate, in December of 2025, "We've responded to 19 incidents in 2025 where Narcan was utilized to resuscitate an unconscious/unresponsive patient".

Join us for an update on 2026 Grand County statistics and an honest and informative conversation grounded in facts and local perspective. TOMORROW, Weds. June 3rd at 2pm at the Granby Library.

🧸 We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Rotary Club of Grand Lake, Colorado for their recent and incredibly thoughtful donation of teddy bears.

These comfort bears will be carried in our patrol vehicles and given to children during difficult or stressful calls to help bring them a sense of safety and comfort when they need it most.
