On November 17th, celebrate and join us for a hike on DLLT's newest trail! We spent the summer extending the Dobsis Narrows Trail in Lakeville, now creating a full loop. Meet at the trailhead in Lakeville at 10 am, and be sure to wear your blaze orange!

DLLT staff and volunteers have been busy completing the Dobsis Narrows Trail, forming a loop that highlights the forests and shoreline of Sysladobsis Lake. This event will be our "grand opening"...

Most of the leaves are on the ground here in Grand Lake Stream, but some explosions of color are still happening. The tamaracks along Musquash Stream are beautiful right now!

Landlocked Salmon and Brook Trout are both salmonids. It’s interesting to observe the behavior of these two fish side by side this time of year. Goodluck to all the fishermen going into the last weekend to fish the stream. We will see you out there!

Every fall, Downeast Lakes Land Trust hosts a free Apple C***r Day in Grand Lake Stream! 🍎

The history of apples and c***r-making in Downeast Maine runs deep, connecting generations of Mainers to the land, the harvest, and the traditions that make this place special.

We love bringing a little taste of that history to Grand Lake Stream and sharing these traditions with our community. Here’s to Maine’s apple-growing heritage and the simple pleasures of a crisp fall day!
