Kaart and GIS stand in solidarity with the endeavors of MLK and other activists. GIS offers a valuable tool to examine and confront persistent civil rights issues.
During King's time, advocacy leaned on grassroots initiatives, marches, and community mobilization to spotlight social injustices. In the present-day scenario, GIS serves as a potent method to carry forward King's legacy, pinpointing and tackling modern challenges through advocacy backed by data and well-informed decision-making. As Ida B. Wells aptly stated, "The way to right wrongs is to turn the light of truth upon them."

There is a new geocache hidden in the Kalahari Desert this week, surprisingly named ‘Kaart’. It is at the site of a burned out car along the side of a dirt road. Go find it everyone and log your photos of it!

We already claimed a first to find on it though. 🤪
