We wanted to provide further insights into our current funding outlook. We have had so much great community support and we are thankful for everyone's generosity during this time. This graphic breaks down the money we have been able to raise and the money we have remaining to ensure we can keep our North Avenue Shelter open through February. Homeward Bound’s weekend shelter has been forced to cut back to just 3 open nights a week due to lack of funding — and further closure is imminent without community support.
This shelter serves 140 people every night, providing the only warm place to sleep for many as temperatures continue to drop.

In response, a generous member of our brokerage community stepped up with a major contribution, and Bray Cares Foundation is now launching an urgent matching campaign to ensure the shelter can remain open through the winter.

This is more than charity — it is a responsibility we share as a community. While many of us make a living serving those with means, this is our moment to serve those who have none.
