Fred and Dawn Carson, from Base Camp 40, got to hand-deliver this beautiful mount to one of our 2025 veterans, Trevor Baucum, who joined our Jolly Buck hunt last year. He was in town for a competition at the Cameo range, so the timing worked out perfectly. Great guy, great timing, and a great buck! Thank you so much to all of the folks that make this event happen every year! Also thank you to Nontypical Taxidermy for your support of BC40. Looking forward to the 2026 Jolly Buck hunt in a few weeks !

It’s that time of year again, and our 14th annual Base Camp 40 "Seal on the Mountain Hunt"—the 13th in memory of our fallen friend Chris Kyle—was once again an incredible success! None of this would be possible without the hard work and generosity of our amazing Base Camp 40 family of volunteers, landowners, and friends. Thank you one and all for another great year; as usual, we had an outstanding group of veterans on this hunt, and we were all blessed to make wonderful memories while enjoying time with friends both old and new out in God's country. 🏔️🇺🇸🙏

We extend our deepest gratitude to Alaskan Anglers Fishing Adventures and Anglers Lodge for their warm hospitality during the BC-40 Annual Travis Casey Memorial Fishing Trip. It was our privilege to host four remarkable veterans this year: Carter Nicholas (Army), Santos Delgado (Army), Bill Chrysler (Army), and Bradley Isom (Air Force). The crew at Alaskan Anglers Fishing Adventures and Anglers Lodge went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience, showcasing their outstanding food, lodging, and customer service. We highly recommend them and offer our heartfelt thanks. Thank you, Anglers.
Also thanks you to our volunteers Fred and Travis, for taking the time and work as BC 40 hosts ! Great stuff!

It’s that time of year again—the annual Rod Bender fishing trip at Toledo Bend, Louisiana. This year we’ve got four incredible veterans with us: Mr. Mac, Frank, Pat, and Robert. All outstanding people and truly a pleasure to spend time with.

We’re about halfway through the trip now, and it looks like they may have already landed a few good ones!
