Xcel’s plan to power Big Tech data centers comes at the expense of our air, water, and energy bills. Thankfully the PUC exists for when things get this out of hand. They have authority to make sure Xcel fulfills its duty to consumers and CO’s clean energy commitments.

Now is the time to tell them to step up!

It’s official… Income Tax Fairness is on the ballot!

Colorado's tax system is broken. A nurse or teacher making $50,000 a year pays the same income tax rate as a millionaire or a giant corporation.

Initiative 195 changes that. A YES vote means that:

97% of Colorado taxpayers get a tax cut, including small businesses, seniors, and veterans. No household making under $500,000 a year pays a penny more.

Increases taxes only on the wealthiest three percent of individuals and largest five percent of corporations making more than $500,000 annually

You continue receiving your TABOR refund check just as you always have.

Initiative 195 raises more than $2 billion strictly for K-12 education, healthcare, and childcare by asking the wealthiest Coloradans and largest corporations to finally pay their fair share.

Congress and the Trump administration have been handing out regulatory giveaways to the oil and gas industry on our public lands under the guise of promoting “energy dominance.” Many of these lands have already been leased over the past year and many more are set to be offered in upcoming oil and gas lease sales. Our Alliance is working to ensure our right to free and fair elections are upheld this November. Yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling is unsettling and takes us one step closer to election chaos this fall. Rather than saying that President Donald Trump's order is legal, the high court said Monday it was too early for Democratic-run states to challenge it in June, when they convinced a federal judge in Boston to freeze the order for November's election.

“Colorado’s congressional delegation should be unanimous in support of this bill because it’s nonpartisan in nature. Public lands belong to all of us, and we should all have the opportunity to have a say in how they’re managed.”

We fully agree and ask Rep. Jeff Hurd to become a sponsor of the Local Input Act to ensure our right to comment on decisions affecting our public lands and communities.

Among the lesser-know impacts of the 2025 budget reconciliation law was a big change in how leasing decisions unfold on public lands.
