Evict ICE from Glenwood Springs! Take Action!

The GWS ICE Field Office's lease is up for renewal in March. Additionally, they have been operating on an expired temporary certificate of occupancy for 20 YEARS!

First responders had no clue there was people in locked rooms that cannot self evacuate in case of emergancies.

Just think about how many less arrest they will make if they have to drive all the way from GJ instead of GWS to enforce in Pitkin and Eagle counties. The more hours they have to commute the better, tax thier system, grind thier gears by following the link and make a complaint.

We hear lots of calls for a general strike, but quite simply we do not have the organization and alternative structures in place to meet our basic needs.

Projects like this are a step towards building those structures.

Lets give "solidarity economics" a go.

SOLIDARITY PROJECT - 100 Neighbors Fed (TODAY 11/26 @ NOON)

Please share and spread to anyone who could use a meal.

First Street Tattoo Parlor - 1119 N. 1st St., Unit B
Look for the sign in the parking lot.

Today we’ll be serving a hot meal for anyone who needs one (vegan options available). We’ve prepared enough for about 100–120 people, and every plate is offered with respect, privacy, and zero judgment. Your situation doesn’t need to be explained to anyone - just come through, grab what you need, and head out knowing you’re welcome here.

If you’re able to stop by in person, please do. Our resources are stretched thin and we want to make sure the food reaches as many neighbors as possible.

If getting here isn’t an option, we’ll have drivers heading out every hour. Send First Street Tattoo Parlor a message and we’ll get you on the delivery list.

Along with a hot meal, we’ll also have a limited number of food bags, winter clothing, and basic supplies available.

We are fully staffed and fully stocked for today, but if you’d like to support future efforts, we’re always accepting non-perishable foods and winter clothing at the shop.

We love this city and the people in it. This is just one small way we can show it. See you soon.

Solidarity Project: 100 Neighbors Fed Campaign

Wednesday, November 26th | 12PM – 7PM
📍 First Street Tattoo Parlor, Grand Junction

With food benefits in disarray this month and so many families feeling the strain, we want to step up for our community the way our community has always shown up for us.

On Wednesday, November 26th, The Solidarity Project will be hosting our 100 Neighbors Fed Campaign — serving free plates of food from 12PM to 7PM at First Street Tattoo Parlor.

No sign-ups, no forms — just a warm meal, open doors, and genuine care for anyone who could use a little extra support this season.

This campaign is our way of offering love, food, and solidarity to our neighbors — because no one should have to face hunger or the holidays alone.

🍴 Join us for a free meal.
🤝 Bring a donation of non-perishable food, coats, toys, or blankets if you can.
🚗 Volunteer as a delivery driver to help bring meals and donations to those who can’t make it out.
💬 Spread the word so every plate and every act of kindness reaches the people who need it most.

The Solidarity Project is compassion in motion — built on love, community, and the belief that we’re stronger together.

From our hands to our neighbors — this is Solidarity.

Breaking News! Homeward Bound to Close Three Days a Week!

Homeward Bound, the only homeless shelter in the Grand Valley announced late Thursday that they will be closed Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting tomorrow.

The change will leave hundreds scrambling for shelter with very little notice.

Budget concerns are the reason cited for this devastating change in policy.

Please be kind and find ways to help our neighbors who are being put out.

This is a developing story, and we will publish more details as they become available.

Mutual Aid is needed! This is a local 911 humanitarian crisis. Please try to find ways to support our neighbors!
