The Season V opener is almost here!

Join Colorado West Ballet for an adventurous evening of dance featuring Peter and the Wolf and Firebird, two beloved stories brought to life on stage! 🩰🔥

🐺 Peter and the Wolf follows Peter, his animal friends, and the fearsome wolf in Sergei Prokofiev’s classic symphonic fairy tale.

🔥 Firebird takes us on a magical journey with Prince Ivan, the enchanting Firebird, and his battle against the evil sorcerer Kastchei.

Week 1 complete with our 2026-27 Company Artists! These artists can’t wait to share all they’ve got this season and it showed in our first week of rehearsals with the start of Firebird choreography.

🌟NEW COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENT

Meet Company Apprentice, Haven Ward 🌟

Haven Anneliese Ward trained at Dmitri Kulev Classical Ballet Academy, graduating from its Professional Division Training Program in 2023, before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Ballet from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2026. During her training, she performed principal roles with Orange County Ballet Theater, including Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, and Clara in The Nutcracker, and appeared in productions of Jewels, Le Corsaire, and La Bayadère. Haven has also trained in contemporary, commercial, ballroom, jazz, and Latin dance and attended prestigious summer intensives including Princess Grace Academy, School of American Ballet, English National Ballet School, Miami City Ballet, and Bolshoi Ballet Academy. She is excited to begin her professional career as an apprentice with Colorado West Ballet for the 2026–2027 season.

🌟NEW ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT

Meet Company Apprentice, Jasmine Parente 🌟

Jasmine Parente is originally from Asheville, North Carolina, where she began her dance training at the Ballet Conservatory of Asheville before continuing her pre-professional education at The HARID Conservatory, graduating in 2022. She recently earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet from the University of Utah, where she expanded her training in classical ballet, neoclassical, and contemporary repertoire. Her performance highlights include Paquita from Grand Pas Classique, the Prelude in Les Sylphides, and soloist roles in Coppélia and La Vivandière. Jasmine has also performed several principal and soloist roles in The Nutcracker, including an international performance with Ballet Nacional Dominicano in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
