Least Terns are back in Grand Isle, and Audubon Delta needs your help to protect them!

As people and birds flock to Grand Isle this Memorial Day weekend, Audubon is seeking volunteers to help steward Least Tern colonies nesting on Grand Isle Beach. Volunteers will assist with educating beachgoers on how to safely enjoy the beach while respecting the sensitive nesting bird species who share this space. Those who volunteer will receive some free Audubon Delta swag, such as stickers and pins!

Available volunteer shifts will be as follows:
Saturday May 23rd from 10 AM - 2 PM and 2 PM - 6 PM
Sunday May 24th from 10 AM - 2 PM and 2 PM - 6 PM
Monday May 25th (Memorial Day) from 10 AM - 2 PM

Volunteers are free to choose a morning or afternoon shift, or both! If you are interested in participating, please reach out to Chloe St. Germain-Vermillion, email: [email protected] at Audubon Delta.
