Book Donations 📚

Here is an excellent guide to what types of donated items the Grand Island Public Library accepts and what they/we do not.
We would love to help get your gently used books on their way to a new reader! 😀

At the beginning of each month, we jump on the Grand Island Public Library website and print off a brochure of events for the month. In September, there are 35! 😲
You can create a list too, by visiting gilibrary.org ➡️ Events & Bookings ➡️ Create Brochure.
Anyway, back to Foundation thoughts. All of these activities enrich the lives of community members from all walks of life and all ages. We recently signed birthday cards for two avid readers who are turning 102 & 105! We just wanted to take a moment to thank all of our donors, sponsors and grant funders for helping us support all the monthly programs throughout the year! The library is more than a collection of books, it is the heartbeat of a community who is engaged in learning! Thank you!

Don't miss Preschool Prom!

To kick-off the fall preschool programming, the Grand Island Public Library is hosting a Preschool Prom! Children ages 5 and under and their families are invited to enjoy crafts, snacks, and dancing.

This awesome end-of-summer party takes place August 15th at 10 AM. Children (and adults!) are encouraged to wear their favorite fancy outfit or costume!
