Greater Grand Island Community Foundation

Greater Grand Island Community Foundation GGICF connects donors to charities they love. Donors are able to establish a legacy in their family name and achieve their goals with one single account.

The Grand Island Community Foundation is a growing legacy, not of a single person, but of the entire community. It is, in a very real sense, the community's foundation. Under one organizational roof, it unites donors, large and small who want to make our community a better place for all. You can make a deep and lasting impact. The next Hall County Women Who Care meeting will take place on August 11, 2026

Women Who Care Hall County is a simple and powerful way for women to make a real impact in our community. We gather four times a year for one-hour meetings where members come together to support local nonprofits through collective giving.

Each member commits to donating $100 per quarter or $50 per quarter for women under 40. At every meeting, three local nonprofit organizations are presented, members vote together, and one organization receives the collective donation.

No long-term volunteering. No complicated process. Just a meaningful way to give back and create lasting change right here in Hall County.

Click the link to complete your commitment form and join over 200 women!

What happens when young people are trusted to lead? Incredible things.

This year, 66 students from six Hall County high schools stepped into leadership through the Youth Philanthropy Board and made a lasting impact on our community.

✨ Seniors raised a record-breaking $63,514 to support future grantmaking and strengthen the YPB Endowment.

✨ Juniors awarded $32,000 in grants to local organizations serving youth across Hall County:
Project Hunger - School backpack program
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Nebraska - School-based programming
EPIC Discovery Center - EPIC access project
First Light Child Advocacy Center - Youth interview room enhancements
YWCA Grand Island - Girl circle

Along the way, students developed leadership skills, built meaningful relationships, learned about philanthropy, and discovered the power they have to create change.

We're incredibly proud of this year's Youth Philanthropy Board and excited to see how these young leaders continue to shape our community for years to come.

🎭✨ The GRAND ISLAND LITTLE THEATRE has long been a beloved part of our community, bringing people together through storytelling, creativity, and unforgettable performances.

We’re proud to support GILT through a Greater Impact Grant from the GGICF Art Grant Fund and unrestricted funding to help cover royalties for two upcoming musical productions.

🎢 The arts help communities thrive, and we’re grateful for the joy, talent, and connection the Grand Island Little Theatre continues to bring to Hall County. πŸ’›

A heartfelt thank you to Greater Grand Island Community Foundation and Keystone Properties, our generous sponsors of the very first Hall County Women Who Care event.

Strong communities are built through people and organizations willing to invest in something bigger than themselves. Their partnership made the first Women Who Care event possible. Thank you both for believing in this mission to help us make a difference together
