Please help find this artist

ARTWORK FOUND IN ATTIC OF GRAND ISLAND HOME, now the public is asked to help locate the artist.

This haunting portrait was saved from the trash, after it was found in an attic of a home in Grand Island. New people purchased the house and were in the process of cleaning out things that had been left behind.

The person who saved the picture, liked it so much, they had it framed. Now, they wondered through the power of social media, if we could find the artist.

You know I love these kind of mysteries and I'm happy to help out.

Here are some clues:
*Location of home where it was found: about a block off 1st Street- about a block west of the overpass
*writing on back may indicate it was a school project
*the picture was found a few years ago and we don't know how many years it was stored in the attic. (I should have asked for a dust & cobweb report haha)
*it's a watercolor on paper

One of our talented artists, Trevor Isaac, blessed with another installment on the mural wall!!

Trevor's β€œStroll at Stolley” is a direct homage to Stolley Park in Grand Island. Key highlights include the Kid’s Kingdom and the Fort. The various greenery is a nod to the gardens and the lushness of the park at its peak. The mural serves as a personal thank you to the community that let these artists thrive and this project grow.

Trevor resides in Kearney, but travels to Grand Island often, for courses at CCC Grand Island Campus. He's completed 2 other murals for us as well as a collaborative piece at Grand Island's Art in the Park with Andrea Galvez.

Thank you, Trevor for all your hard work and creativity you've brought to the community!

πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒοΈ ARTIST SPOTLIGHT πŸ–ŒοΈπŸŽ¨

JANE RYAN

Jane is a 75 years young, disabled veteran, who specializes in therapeutic neurographic art. Her impressive resume includes writing two books, producing a movie, based in rural Nebraska, and now adds mural artist to her list!πŸ–ŒοΈ

Her mural is titled "Love is in the Air" and has two meanings. The first meaning, she states, is that "we often have to go through stories to get to happiness", and the second meaning expresses that "we're only limited by the sky and our imaginations!"🌌

Jane has only been painting for 2 years! Although she has never done a mural before this project, she explains that she used the same method she does as painting on canvas. She "says her prayers and things turn out as they should!"πŸ’—

When asked what community art means to Jane, she expresses quite beautifully, that "community art offers people, communities, and towns the ability to come together, get to know each other, and bring value and encouragement to Grand Island!"

Thank you, Jane for the hard work, positive attitude and valuable insight that you brought to The Mural Project. We are honored to have you on our wall!
